Un Día de Trabajo (2025) is an experimental video portrait featuring my mother in her role as a housekeeper. The piece offers a tender and nuanced glimpse into the rhythms of labor and care. It also gestures toward her larger personal journey as an immigrant navigating complex identities and responsibilities.

This video is as a study for a longer-form project that centers the everyday lived experiences of three immigrant workers across construction, domestic, and agricultural labor. Blurring the lines between experimental film, sound art, and documentary practice, the future seeks to reframe how immigrant labor is represented, foregrounding dignity, resilience, and intimacy in the face of invisibility.
